Main Equipment Options

  1. Avenger™ Hand Held Remote Radio Control (R/C) : for control of the Helicopter and/or 360 degree management of the Payload
As the foundation for an advanced, full-range, spread spectrum radio, the Avenger™ uses the JR's XP9303. A breakthrough in versatility and flexibility when it was introduced, the 9-channel, 30-model memory, 3-model type 9303 is an enormously popular radio upgrade for experienced R/C fliers. With software shaped by the input of helicopter pilots, plus its exclusive rolling ease and speed of programming, the 9303 remains the standard by which all 9-channel radios are judged. And now, with the added convenience and security of Spektrum DSM2 2.4GHz technology, the newly-designated X9303 2.4 is better and safer than ever.
  2. Laptop Case and Ground Station Setup
The backbone of the ground station setup is a Pelican ruggedized case with wheels that is lockable, waterproof, and impact resistant. This case offers space and security for the Ground Control Station laptop that controls the autopilot software and/or remote video viewing software and the Telemetry connectivity elements used for seamless operations of video payloads on the Avenger™.
  3. Video Goggles
The Myvu Crystal Personal Media Viewer allows the user to see while operating the Avenger™ via the hand held remote RC or the Optional Ground station software. This viewer provides real time views of the craft and the video systems that are on board. The MyVu features SolidOptex, the Myvu patented optical system, Crystal transforms the onboard view into a full-screen private viewing experience. Crystal also boasts full VGA quality -- our highest resolution available and widest field of view. Its sleek profile permits you to maintain most of your natural field of vision by seeing over the viewer. The bright, full-sized image is daylight-viewable for hands-free viewing regardless of lighting conditions. In combination with a fully charged portable media player, a fully charged Myvu Crystal battery provides up to 4 hours of video viewing with full VGA (640X480) resolution.
  4. Laptop for Ground Station Software and Video Systems
The Avenger™ ground station offers several optional MS Windows ready laptops with all of the ground station and video software pre-loaded and tested. The business of outdoor Helicopter operations is tough and that's why Panasonic built a laptop that can handle just about anything you throw at it. These Toughbook® computers are manufactured to endure 3-foot drops and to withstand violent shocks and vibrations. They are fabricated to operate at temperatures over 140° and below -20° Fahrenheit and function both at high altitude and under increased atmospheric pressure. See the incredible MIL-STD tests these machines pass in order to be Toughbook rugged. Each of the Laptops offers a 14 inch viewing LCD and magnesium alloy cases with a handle for easy carrying.
